Ingredients to make your skin GLOW

Ingredients to make your skin GLOW

Glowing skin is something we all want especially as we start to notice the first signs of ageing, addressing the first signs like dry skin, dehydration, uneven skin tone and fine lines and wrinkles means that you get to stay on top of your glow.

Ingredients are a must when it comes to caring for your skin and at TAYDAY we use clean ingredients with natural active plant based ingredients without any parabens, petrochemicals, SLS or synthetic fragrances or fragrances. Basically no nasty stuff. You can have it all with non-toxic products. Skincare that is results-driven & luxe and that wont compromise your appearance or your health. So lets get to it..

Hyaluronic Acid

An absolute favorite when looking at keeping the skin hydrated and plumped. As a high performance active ingredient Hyaluronic Acid or HA suits all skin types and is perfect for dehydration, dry skin, sensitive skin and keeping the skin soft and supple.

HA is hydrating & moisturising and also helps assist in the production of collagen so is super important in providing structural support. As we begin to age the body naturally produces less HA. Think of HA like the glue that holds collagen & elastin together. The less that is produced in the body the more lax those collagen and elastin fibres become resulting in wrinkling and fine lines. It helps keeps skin plump, smooth & firm providing elasticity. HA also assists in water retention. SKIN FACT: HA has the capacity to bind and retain water and can hold approx. 1000 times its weight in water. It is truly an amazing ingredient and it is why we use it s much as possible in our skincare.

You can find Hyaluronic Acid in:

Collagen Night Serum

Overnight Hydrate & Plump Mask

Peptide Night Cream

Marine Based Collagen:

Collagen in the body is a structural protein, it is the main structural component and provides tensile strength to the skin. We use collagen derived from seaweed which is super amazing. Marine based collagen promotes elasticity, moisturises the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles! Collagen in the body starts to decline as we age so skin looses that elasticity. SKIN FACT: The molecular structure of marine based collagen is very similar to that of human collagen and more in fact so than that of collagen sourced from animals.

It is the star ingredient in our Collagen Night Serum as we support the structural integrity of the skin overnight.

Vegan Peptide:

We use Hydrolyzed Rice Protein which is a peptide that stimulates an increase in the production of cells responsible for collagen & elastin, HA (Hyaluronic Acid) & adhesive proteins. It also helps to reduce oxidative stress from the sun and environmental pollutants ultimately resulting in smoother, plumper and healthier skin. Collagen, elastin and HA production starts to reduce as we age resulting in skin loosing its elasticity and plumpness. Maintenance is key so boosting skin with actives like vegan peptide means skin texture is improved and fine lines are reduces, supporting the skin to be resilient towards the effects of ageing.

You can find Peptide rich skincare in our:

Peptide Night Cream

Antiox Day Cream

Overnight Hydrate & Plump Mask

Cucumber Seed Oil:

Cucumber seed oil is made by cold pressing cucumbers and is beneficial in soothing and cooling the skin as well as protecting the skin and easing any irritation. Rich in linoleic acid, Vitamin E, and other nutrients, Cucumber Seed Oil is an excellent anti-ager, keeping the skin’s protective barrier strong and improving firmness and elasticity.

Cucumber Seed Oil can be found in our

Essential Eyes

Moisture Rich Cleanser

 Aloe Vera:

We use plant extracts like Aloe Vera for its healing, soothing and  calming properties. It has moisturizing elements to protect and heal the skin. It’s full of vitamins, minerals, and anti-inflammatory compounds that provide healing relief from irritation and most importantly its hydrating properties make it not only a useful ingredient but a must in supporting the delicate biome of the skin.

Found in most TAYDAY Natural Skincare products including:

Smoothing Toner spritz

Purifying Clay Mask

Vitamins A, C and E:

Vitamins C and E are antioxidants that may help protect skin from sun damage. Vitamin A, also known as retinol, is key for cell growth.

Vitamin C is found at high levels in the epidermis (outer layer of skin) as well as the dermis (inner layer of skin). Its cancer-fighting (antioxidant) properties, and its role in collagen production help keep your skin healthy. Boosting skin with powerful antioxidants helps to protect against free radical damage & oxidative stress and helps the skin be resilient to ageing stressors.

These vitamins can be found in:

Antiox Day Serum

Antiox Day Cream

Collagen Night Serum

From Rosehip powder, to papaya extract you will find a super rich and natural index of ingredients in our products all formulated to work to successfully provide protection, hydration, structural support and give skin that supple, healthy GLOW!  All of our ingredients are suitable for sensitive skins.

Boost your skin with an easy to learn facial massage technique

Boost your skin with an easy to learn facial massage technique

Giving yourself a facial massage is not only relaxing but is also super good for boosting your skin often leaving you feeling fresh faced and rejuvenated. Facial massage is so beneficial and is said to release tension, increase blood circulation, tone the muscles & stimulate collagen production (yay!), improve lymphatic drainage and enhance the penetration of the serum or mask you are using while doing the massage. It is a technique that is easy to learn and once you get the hang of it you can easily be incorporated into your skincare routine a few times a week. Remember to be slightly firm but gentle with a soft touch while massaging. Take 5 minutes or 20 minutes it is up to you!

Step 1

Make sure you have cleansed your face and your hands are clean.

Step 2

Rub your hands together to warm them up and add some Serum to your hands

Step 3

Gently press the palms of your hands to your face and move your hands outwards in sweeping motions. Work from nose outwards.

Step 4

Use your fingertips and start from the nose again and work your way out in gentle circular motions massaging the skin

Step 5

Place your fingertips in the centre of your brows and use firm pressure to sweep upwards & outwards

Step 6

Use your palms to sweep up the neck, in firm sweeping motions.

Step 7

Sweep your palms across your chest from one shoulder to the next covering the décolletage area.

 Step 8

Wipe any remaining serum onto the back of your hands as the skin here often shows signs of ageing.

Once you have finished massaging with your serum continue with your normal skincare such as your moisturiser and SPF if it is daytime.

And voila your skin feels good and I bet you feel like you have given yourself a little pamper time as skin feels rejuvenated.

Enjoy your new facial massage technique.

Why Use Natural Skincare?

Why Use Natural Skincare?

TAYDAY skincare is Australian made, vegan, natural, plant based, ethically sourced ingredients. No parabens, SLS , petrochemicals, colours and fragrances. Here is why clean skincare is worth the switch.

Your skin is the largest organ and absorbs around 60% of what is put on it. Around 80% of the ingredients in mainstream cosmetics have not been tested for safety.

Chemicals, artificial colours, and fillers in mainstream skincare products and makeup can cause redness, irritation, and breakouts. Many people are allergic to chemicals commonly found in conventionally produced products. Natural makeup, skin care products, and body products work with your skin instead of against it.

Artificial & synthetic fragrances used in commercial skincare are there to disguise the smell of the actual ingredients. Natural skincare smells like it is meant to smell in its natural combined form so there is no cover up there. Essential oils are used to rather provide aromatherapy benefits. Mainstream skincare often contains parabens. Parabens are used in conventionally produced products as a preservative to extend the shelf life of products. Parabens, however, are synthetic and mimic your body’s natural hormones. The debate as to how this impacts the body as a whole and side effects associated with parabens is strong. So why even go there in my opinion. Mainstream skincare is often filled with fillers and irritants and can wreck havoc on not only normal skin but especially on sensitive skin adding to the toxic overload our bodies are already in. Long term usage may be more harmful than we even know with mainstream cosmetics and cause way more damage than good. Using plant based ingredients makes sense if skincare becomes about nurturing, restoring and supporting you skin. There is no quick fix out there and not product can work miracles but continual daily practice with plant based natural skincare will ensure that your skin is nourished back to good health, restoring balance and nurturing the skin during its natural ageing process.

Our skincare products are 100% vegan and cruelty free plus no chemicals or microbeads (commonly found in mainstream exfoliating skincare products) are being flushed down the drain.

Do not assume you are sacrificing quality and results by switching to natural. Some plant based ingredients have been used throughout history for their amazing benefits. Being that your skin absorbs the majority of the ingredients applied, education is critical in making an informed decision when picking your skincare products.

A step by step guide to an at home Foot Spa

A step by step guide to an at home Foot Spa

An at home foot spa this weekend sounds amazing and we have the right products to help get those feet looking spa perfect again.  ⁣

So we can’t go get our usual pedicure and we know how good it feels when we do BUT we can do a little home foot spa and tend to those feet and toes as best we can ?? ⁣

Here is a step by step guide for you on how to get your feet soul happy again.

1. Soak your feet in the bath or a tub filled with warm water. Add a bit of the TAYDAY Minty Matcha Body Scrub to the warm water and allow the organic mix of Matcha Green Tea, Jojoba, Peppermint and Almond oils to nourish and cleanse the feet. You could also add a Peach Passion bath bomb and let the water flow as it dissolves to create a gorgeous smelling bubble bath.

2. Remove feet and tend to your toe nails. cut and buff nails and remove old nail polish. Push cuticles back if needed. ⁣

3. Use your Minty Matcha Body Scrub to exfoliate the feet and calves. Working from the soles move your way up the feet to the ankles and calves. Spend a good 10 minutes scrubbing. Once you have finished scrubbing give your feet, toes and calves a gentle massage. If you are not sure how to give yourself a foot massage, I recommend watching this video I have used on YouTube called Soothe tired, achy feet with self massage by Rachel Richards Massage for some ultimate foot pamper massage and relaxation.

4. Rinse your feet and dry off⁣ your feet.

5. Apply moisturiser and either pop on a pair of socks to keep feet warm and allow the moisturiser to penetrate the feet or add on your favorite shade of nail polish and done ? ⁣

Some self-care feeling good, fancy feet maintenance and a lovely relaxing massage all from the comfort of your own home.

Hyaluronic Acid – Why we love it at TAYDAY

At TAYDAY our Hydra- Revive Gel Mask is one of our best sellers – What is Hyaluronic Acid and why your skin needs it to naturally support ageing and repair ???❤

Hyaluronic Acid… don’t get put off by the name, I know it sounds like something out of a lab but did you know that HA is naturally found in the skin and is the key molecule involved in skin moisture as it has the unique ability to BIND and RETAIN water molecules. HA is associated with hydration, lubrication, its space filling capacity and regulates aspects of TISSUE REPAIR. The largest amounts of HA are found naturally in your skin, connective tissue and eyes. Its main function is to retain water to keep your tissues well lubricated and moist. Hyaluronic Acid can actually hold up to 1000 times its weight in water.

With the natural ageing process the body produces less HA. Think of HA as the filling in the sandwich. Hyaluronic Acid is really the go between collagen and water. Collagen needing the water molecules to maintain their integrity and as we age when HA runs short and the collagen cells no longer hold onto enough water this causes the collagen to deteriorate leading to skin elasticity loss, fine lines & wrinkles. HA is the key in keeping skin smooth and supple and addressing anti-ageing skin concerns which start becoming visible on the skin from around the age of 25. We can’t stop the natural ageing process of the body but we can address anti-ageing concerns and support the skin naturally so visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles become less evident ans the skin is plumped  becomes tighter and firmer.

HA also regulates TISSUE REPAIR so regardless of your skin type, your skin will reap the benefits of the healing and moisturisation that HA will provide for it. Remember even oily and blemish prone skin which is often stripped with harsher cleansers, instead of delicate cleansing creams,  need moisture to retain balance. Often when skin is dehydrated, as the skin naturally compensates for the dryness that is occurring, it produces excess sebum and this excess oil actually causes congestion which can lead to breakouts, blemishes, blackheads and enlarged pores. Some think they have blemish prone skin but in fact they have extremely dehydrated skin causing breakouts. Sensitive skin, dry skin and combination skin all benefit from HA as locking in moisture into the skin helps maintain the skin allowing it to heal and settle and the HA assists the skin in repairing itself.

Our Hydra-Revive Gel mask is so gentle and nourishing it can even be worn over night as it works its magic! Used twice weekly your skin will look and feel beautiful and nourished. Our Daily Range features our Daily Restore Moisturiser which has been formulated with a blend of HA, Aloe Vera and Rosehip oil to deeply moisturise and keep skin hydrated daily. For severe sensitive skin, we recommend using the Hydra-Revive Gel Mask Daily until the skin has calmed down and sensitivity is reduced.

How to apply your vegan face mask – 5 easy steps

How to apply your vegan face mask – 5 easy steps

We love face masks at TAYDAY and if you are wondering what the best way to apply your face mask is here is a step by step guide. Using a face mask is an easy and fun way to commit to bettering your skin and creating that pamper time experience for yourself.

How to apply your face mask in a few easy steps

Step 1 – Cleanse your face

It is always best practice to apply your face mask to a freshly cleaned face. By removing any makeup and residue it allows the face mask to do what it does best even better – go deeper into the pores, remove congestion and refine the skin so you receive all of the benefits of your mask of choice. Use your Daily Cleanser to clean the skin and dry.

Tip: For an added boost use a warm face washer to remove the cleanser. This warms up the skin and opens the pores and ensures a clean surface plus it also feels a bit more pampering.

Step 2 – Get your mask ready

Depending on your mask type, it can get a bit messy so we suggest you pull your hair back (have you seen our gorgeous headbands we have available to use as part of your face mask time). If you need to mix one of your dry masks, apply a small amount into your hand and mix with water or toner to activate the dry ingredients or use a ceramic dish and mask applicator brush to mix your mask.

Tip: Create your own self-care spa time ritual. It is as easy as running a bath, lighting a candle, putting on some calming music on and have your cup of Relax and Restore tea ready to enjoy.

Step 3 – Apply your mask

Use your fingers or your face mask applicator brush to apply the mask evenly onto the skin. Remember you don’t have to stop at the face, continue past the jawline to the chest area and shoulders. Apply to the back area if you have some trouble spots. Be sure to avoid the delicate eye area and nostrils.  You simply want to smooth the mask over your face.

Tip:  If you are applying your TAYDAY Gel mask or the TAYDAY Pink Clay mask using the brush will work fabulously. If using the TAYDAY Exfoliating mask, delicately rub the mask in circular motion over the face, neck and chest and then allow it to sit on the skin just as a face mask would- remember this mask is a dual exfoliator and nourishing mask so is a two step process.

Step 4 – Wait and enjoy

Follow the time directions as indicated on the instructions, however if a little more time passes not to worry, our masks are so gentle and nourishing it will only give you some extra goodness.

Tip: Ideally while you wait the desired time use that time to relax in the bath, do your nails or just sit in stillness. Anything that creates a little pamper ritual time.

Step 5 – Remove your mask

Time to remove your mask. Now the one thing to remember is to be GENTLE. You have just taken the time to nourish and soothe your skin so no harsh rubbing or wiping. You can either just simply remove your mask with water and rinse it off or use a warm face towel or damp cotton wool to gently wipe away the mask. It’s a soft, gentle process all part of nourishing your skin. Pat your skin dry with a towel…gently.

Step 6 – Seal it in

Apply your Daily Restore moisturiser, face oil or Lock It In serum and voila gorgeous, nourished, nurtured skin. Total skin love and hopefully a little ‘me time’

With just a few minutes a week devoted to a little face masking skin love you will see a noticeable difference to the look and feel of your skin AND allow any other products to work even more thoroughly. Such a great way to add some nurture time for yourself.

Love your skin, love your mask – love the skin you are in ?
